Our exhibition

The radio museum opens every first Sunday in a month as well as after prior call! We look forward to your visit.

The RadioMuseum Cologne exists already since the Nineties of the past century. We take care about the radio history from the technical as well as from the cultural point of view, the complete development in the fields of radio, sound recording, physics and electronics, from Edisons phonograph up to the technologies of the 1980s.

We offer regularly guides to the topics radio, its history and technologies. Significant inventions are by the way from the Cologne or the neighboring Berg county. For every piece of exhibition, there is an individual story. Interested people who would like to keep alive grandfathers treasures can count on our help. We have the know-how and the equipment to resurrect the device, even if it passed the past decades in the attic and does not give a sound. During our museum opening, we are running some medium wave stations on their historical frequencies: Deutschlandfunk, Europawelle Saar and Radio Luxemburg. The Volksempfänger VE301 is also able to receive the former Reich station.

The regular opening times are on each first Sunday of the month, from 2 P.M. to 6 P.M.
